Happy Halloween!!!

HAPPY HALLOW'S EVE EVERYONE!! Yes, it's Halloween one of my favorite holidays!! The scares, the costumes, and most importantly THE CANDY!! I swear this is the best holiday ever besides Christmas and Thanksgiving. Anyway, as a little Halloween special I want to talk about the anime horror genre. Now as most otakus SHOULD know is that anime horror shows can be the goriest of the gore as well as scary as fuck. It could send shivers down anyone's spine. Give for example Elfin Lied.... Now I've only seen the first episode but I saw how the main character took off that one guards head... Let's just say I placed my hand around my neck after I saw that. There are also animes like Another is a ghost story anime about a classmate of yours that supposedly died a long time ago but still roams the school. It can get pretty creepy after awhile. Deadman Wonderland is another one. It has an awesome story, but I stopped watching because the story was pissing me off. Just because one kid is the only survivor in a class murder doesn't mean that he's the murderer dammit!! You also have your funny horror anime like Is That a Zombie? You have to admit that anime is more funny than scary. Now I know I should mention High School of the Dead is this list of awesome anime horror but....I never saw it. Too many people warned me not to read or watch it so I never did. I did see a little bit of Blood-C and I have to admit I sit on the edge of my seat in order to see what will happen next. And last but not least Future Diary. The only thing I can truly say about it is that YUNO IS FREAKING INSANE!! There are tones of horror anime out there that is pretty amazing and fun to watch...and by fun I mean get the crap scared right out of you. I think it's a great way to spend Halloween night. BUST OUT THE CANDY YOU GOT FROM TRICK OR TREATING AND START WATCHING HORROR ANIME TO CELEBRATE THIS WONDERFUL NIGHT!! IT ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR XD!! I hope all you otakus out there have a wonderful Halloween. I wish you a frightening night.

Kill La Kill

Something tells me you guys were just waiting for me to write about this. It's been awhile since I wrote a blog post (curse you college) and I'm still in the midst of writing the next volg episode, so I'll entertain you guys and write about my feelings on Kill la Kill. Now, I know a lot of female anime fans don't like it, so I must say as a girl myself....that I love this anime. It is absolutely hilarious. Sure, a lot of it is pure fanservice, but you have to remember that the people who were behind Pant and Stocking were also behind this anime along with the people who made Gurren Lagann. I'm not surprised. Kill La Kill is a very enjoyable anime. Fans should also remember that this is Japan we're talking about. Japan, a very weird country (no offense to any Japanese people. I love Japan and hope to go there one day). Anyway, Kill La Kill is about a girl named Ryuko Matoi who is transferred to Honnouji Academy. She  is looking for the person who killed her father and the only clue she has is half a scissor blade. The school is run by a bunch of freaking Nazis-*clears throat* I mean a very tyrant like student council. They all wear these uniforms called Goku Uniforms that gives them super human abilities. Ryuko fights the student council in order to find her father's murder. See? This anime has a fantastic story line, it's just random....really REALLY random. This anime is very enjoyable and I recommend it to people who like Gurren Lagann, don't mind fan service, and watched Panty and Stocking because in all honesty, that's what this anime is. Gurren Lagann + Panty & Stocking= Kill la Kill. There you go. Enough said. This rant is over. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Hitman Reborn: Haru Characters I hate part 3

Ok I just got finished watching Hitman Reborn. BEST. ANIME. EVER!! I mean seriously, it's no Nura Clan, but I would gladly become a member of the Vongola Family. I loved everyone in the show. Well... not everyone. There was one character that got on my nerves; Haru. She was just very annoying to me. She is the self-impossed wife of the protagonist in the show. In most of the show, she thinks she will be Tsuna's future wife when it's obvious that it will be Kyoko. Then she befriends the actual heroine of the show still thinking she'll be the future wife. Yeah...no. Ugh, Haru just annoys me to no end. She pisses me off even more in the whole future arch. Warning: Spoiler ahead. This is around when Haru and Kyoko want to know what the guys are hiding from them. When Tsuna tells them everything, Haru is super shocked. This is what annoys me. In the FIRST SEASON when she was introduced, she knew that Tsuna and them were part of the Mafia. Even when they were spying on them, she spills the beans to Kyoko that they are mafia, yet she's still shocked that the boys are part of such a dangerous life style....yeah SHE'S AN IDIOT!!! She knew from the very beginning they were part of the mafia. This should not be shocking to her! Kyoko should be the only one that is clueless of what's going on, not Haru. Ugh, well just hope that the rumored squeal to Hitman Reborn is official and she's less annoying if she's in it. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Had to put Primo in here. He's just so awesome XD

Blood Lad: a GOOD vampire story

Thanks to Twilight, the reputation of vampires have been rather...murdered. Not many people are interested in them anymore. However, this does not effect the manga and anime world. In the world of anime and manga, vampires are awesome, scary, powerful, and can be utter badasses. Blood Lad embraces all of these qualities. This manga just recently became an anime. In all honesty I didn't see it coming. I've read two volumes of Blood Lad and can't wait to read Volume 3. I'll give you a short version. Staz, a vampire otaku who is obsessed with the human world (especially Japan), one day meets a human girl named Fuuyumi. Fuuyumi accidentally walked into the demon world. Staz is excited to meet her and tells his men to bring her to him so they can meet. Once he steps out to takes care of something and comes back, Fuuyumi is dead and now a ghost. Staz now works on resurrecting her while also dealing with some family issues. Now the anime does a very good job with sticking to the manga. The first chapter of the manga and the first episode of the anime are almost identical. I will say that the anime is pretty fast. I mean they finished two volumes in just eight episodes. It's not that bad though. Staz is a freaking boss!! He is really powerful even without his full power. Once he gets his full power he's even more of a badass. He does tend to make references to A LOT to some classic anime like Dragon Ball. There's not much else I can say about this anime since it only has nine episodes so far, but it's worth checking out guys. If you want a good vampire anime, Blood Lad is definitely what you're looking for. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0

I've been checking out a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh lately and I thought it was a good time to finally talk about it. But... then I thought it would be good way to start my vlogs. So.... here's the first episode for one of my vlogs. Sorry for the crappy audio. I don't have a microphone yet, so I used my phone to record my voice and I kept getting tongue tied too. Here's the video:

Yu-Gi-Oh GX: DAMN YOU 4KIDS

Just by the title you guys know what I am going to be ranting about this time. Let me explain. Lately I've been watching a lot of Yugioh, so I decided to watch GX only to remember....I didn't finish the show as the kid. So I rewatched the entire show along with the episodes 4kids didn't translate. And I came to realize something....4KIDS IS MORE OF AN ASSHOLE THAN I THOUGHT!! I mean seriously. In season 3 they killed off the main character when there was a whole other episode showing that he was ok! Ugh, how can they do that to all the Yugioh fans out there! Then they have the nerve to translate the movie. Now, only those who watched the subs will know why Jaden (Judai in the japense version) looks completely different, he's not at duel academy, he has these new powers given to him by Yubel, oh and why Pharaoh and Professor Banner are with him on this journey. I mean seriously. That was just purely idiotic. You just left viewers confused. Ugh, I swear 4kids is the mortal enemy with all anime fans. The only credit I will give them is their versions of the openings. I love that One Piece rap. How many of you guys agree? I mean seriosuly, it took me forever to realize how much they've baby proofed the shows they've translated to the point that it was ridiculous. However I will admit, we all love dubs. That means we don't have to struggle to figure out what is going on in our favorite Japanese shows. I just want dubs to be done right! 4kids appparently doesn't follow this concept and does everything wrong! They seriously just need to realize when a certain anime is not for a younger audience, but for teenage and up. That what funimation and anime network did, and a lot of their animes are pretty cool. 4kids needs to shape up. I want to rant more, but then I'll be in front of a computer all night. That's all for now. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Bleach: Ichigo Overpowered?

Bleach is one of the greatest animes I've ever seen along with Naruto. I mean come on; the show is so badass. The cliffhangers have me begging for more. Each character is very unique and brings a smile to my face. However.... I'm starting to get turned off by the show and it's not because the show is taking FOREVER to finish. The same happened with One Piece and I remain loyal until American TV was pissing me off with the whole off, on, off, on, thing. (It's on again so I'm happy but at episode 200. I have so much catching up to do). Anyway, back to Bleach. The reason I'm starting to get turned off by Bleach is because they make him so overpowered. I mean I have to be honest. Every time I turn around Ichigo has a new power that makes him more powerful than ever. I mean really. He's a soul reaper, a hallow, and a QUINCY?! How many powers does this one kid have. Don't get me started on his soul reaper powers. I mean they're awesome, but can we see Ichigo actually struggle for once without gaining a new power being his only solution. It's practically in every single arc that happens in the anime. If I hear the he becomes a bount all of a sudden, I'm done. Ichigo has enough powers now. He doesn't need anymore. I mean I do know that after the battles with Aizen, he loses his powers, but he then goes begging for his powers back once he turns 18. Didn't he want a normal life at some point? But I'm not that surprise. That happens in every show that I see. Want a normal life, you get it, want your abnormal life back. *sigh* I just feel like that their trying to make Ichigo God and we all know what happens to people that try to become God in anime. The show is still amazing, don't get me wrong. I just wish Ichigo didn't kept getting new powers every single new arc that happens. Well, I'm done for now. I have to do research for my other blog right now. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Why I haven't been making post lately...

Hey fellow Otakus, gamers, and nerds. Sorry I haven't been doing post lately, but I have a reason for it. The reason is.... I was preparing to go to Boston. Why? ANIME BOSTON 2013 OF COURSE!!! This was my first time there and I must say, I may be a hardcore Yankee fan but.... Boston, you definitely know how to show an anime fan a good time. I had a blast! I never had so much fun at a convention in my life. I was cosplaying as Matt (Mail) Jeevas from Death Note. My friend was Fire Nation Katra and my sister was Sweet Pea from... Punch Out (I think that was the name of the movie). I never expected what I saw at Anime Boston. THE PLACE WAS HUGE!!! Three floors of anime awesomeness??!! SWEET!!! The fact that the convention took place in two buildings was even cooler. So technically six floors, but who's counting. There was so much epicness that I had to go back to my hotel room to take a break. I came back for the masquerade. The masquerade was awesome. I saw some amazing cosplays, cosplay skits, AMVs, and the MC was funny as hell. Now my thoughts on the most important part of an anime convention, the cosplayers.... OMG I 've seen cosplays I've never seen before! I saw Yu-Gi-Oh!, Naruto, Bleach, Kingdom Hearts, Homestuck, Persona 3 AND 4, and much much more. I was able to take some pictures of you awesome cosplayers. I put them all in a video. Please excuse some the bad quality of the pictures. My camera battery died while on the convention floor and I had to use my phone and my phone camera SUCKS!!!  The video is connected to my YouTube account. I'm still thinking about doing the vlogs as I mentioned in both of my blogs on multiple occasions  Do you guys think I should do it? Let me know ^^. Anyway here's said video:

My rising and falling love for Naruto

Hey guys, what's up? This weekend I was watching a walkthrough for the latest Naruto game, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. It made me think of all the great memories I had while watching/reading the series. Now if you're going to ask me how much I know about Naruto, it's only up to about when the pain battle ended. Yeah, I know, sad. BUT I HAVE AN EXCUSE!!! I kind of blame America. I mean with how much they censored the show, it kind of made me lose interest in the show and manga. I really truly stopped watching it and everything when Naruto Shippuden was on Disney XD. Seriously Viz Media DISNEY?! Everyone knew that they were going to baby proof it like hell. They should've just given it to adult swin to begin with. I was happy that it came off of Disney XD, but I still wasn't inspired to get back into the anime and manga. Don't get me wrong. I still think Naruto is the greatest anime and manga ever, but I just can't get back into it. I tried. I really did. But it just didn't work. I wanted to try again, but realized that I'm so far behind that wasn't even worth trying anymore. I mean I know bits and pieces of what happened after the Pain battle, but not enough to go back into the series. Naruto was the anime that kind of made me realize how much of an otaku I am. I will forever wish the series a bunch of success and I will be sad when it ends (even though it has been dragging on for a LONG time almost like Bleach and One Piece but not as bad). Ok, I'm done now. Shout out to all those fans who are very loyal to Naruto and kept up with the series. You guys are awesome!! Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Characters I hate part 2:Aizen

I originally, I was not gonna do Aizen, but then I saw last week's episode of Bleach. I felt like I need to rant about my hatred for him. Aizen is an asshole! He needs to die in a pit of fire in the deepest parts of hell. I mean seriously, how can he treat the arrancars like that. They followed him and believed in his leadership and what does he do, have them all killed. I mean seriously. I was truly pissed off when he killed Halibel. I thought she was cool. She really did believe in him and then he just turns around and kills her. I'm also mad about what he did to the vizards. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the vizards with all of my heart. I think they are all awesome (especially Shinji). I don't like that they got their powers through the betrayal of Aizen. Another good example of Aizen being a huge ass is what he did to Momo. Momo was in love with him. She was going to follow him until the ends of the earth, and then he turns around and breaks her heart by faking his death and betraying the whole Soul Society. I can't wait to see Ichigo beat him into a pulp in the anime. He deserves it. He needs to SUFFER!!!  Ok, I think I'm done. I can't think of anything else to say about Aizen right now without calling him a bastard and an asshole fifty billion times. I truly do wonder how many people hate Aizen because I know there's a lot. Tell me what you think of Aizen. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

New York and Anime

If you guys have read my last post on my hopes in the world of Anime, I wrote about how I wanted an ANIME convention in New York. I want to rant about that a little more. I've gone to New York Comic Con three times. Every time I have gone, it's been more comic book than anime. An anime fan, like me, would be very disappointed. Again, this is not a jab at comic book lovers, I just wish that there was more anime involved. I mean they used to sell pocky, they got rid of that. There used to be a glomp squad, it went bye bye. The anime section of the convention floor is hidden in a tiny corner or something like that. The only thing that kept anime fans going to comic con was the masquerade. The masquerade was always a fun time. It's why I went only on Saturday. At the 2012 New York Comic Con in October, they got rid of the masquerade. WHAT. THE. HELL. I couldn't believe it. How could they get rid of it? It was the highlight of the convention. That always made me leave the convention like a had a very bad hangover or something because it was that awesome. I'm convinced New York has something against Japan or Anime or Fandoms in general. The changes and regulations they're doing is just rediculous. The first couple years of the convention were amazing. I don't understand why they took something so awesome and turned it into what it is now. As an anime fan and a member of many fandoms, I'm very pissed about what the convention has become. I bet other fans in New York are too. I think I got my point across. Let me know what you guys think. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

2013 in Anime. My hopes

Hey fellow Anime fans! Happy New Year! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I've been really busy lately. Anyway, it's now 2013 and there is a lot going on in the world of anime. This post is basically gonna be what I hope is going to happen in the year of 2013. #1 The third season of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. I really want this third seaon. I've been waiting for it for a long time. I want to see an older Rikuo and what challenges await him. I think the third season will be very exciting and I don't think I can wait much longer. #2 No Salior Moon in America. Okay, I loved Salior Moon as a kid. I thought it was awesome. However, America will screw it up and most likely change a lot of things to make it "kid friendly" by American standards. I say this because I heard that they were making new episodes for the show. I'm really looking forward to it, just don't put it in America. #3 More Ouran High School. I know this is not going to happen, but I wish it would. They left so much out in the anime that I just feel they should continue the series. It would be a miracle if this happens. #4 More ANIME conventions in NY. I've been to NY Comic Con. It's technically combined with the NY Anime Festival. Question, where's the anime? It's been overrun by Comics. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple of Comics. However, I go mostly go for the anime and you hardly see it. NY needs something for ANIME ONLY!! Comic books and Anime are two different things. They need to be treated as such. #5 Longer anime series. Lately I've been noticing there a lot of anime now that are like only 6 or 12 episodes. That kind of sucks. I like getting more into anime, it sucks when they're short. And most of the time when they are short, they end in cliffhanger, which ends up pissing a lot of people off. #6 One Piece finishing. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HURRY UP WITH THAT SHOW!! It's been on and off and on and off for the longest. It's started to get annoying. I would like for them to just hurry up and air the new episodes. #7 More new anime shows. It's a new year, what did you expect? A new generation of anime is always appreciated! XD #8 The end of Beyblade...maybe. I'm sorry. I hate the new Beyblade. The original was so much better. I think the new one kind of makes no sense and its really cheesy. However, I do think it's good for their newer generation of anime lovers. So, I'm still iffy about it. #9 More sexy anime characters. ...You guys know you tend to fantasize about them. Both boy and girl hot and sexy anime characters become the fan favorite. I don't care if their the bad guy most of the time, they're hot!! XD #10 Longer Yaoi series. I speak for the yaoi fangirls out there. The yaoi anime series always seem really short. I think it would be cool if they were  just a bit longer. #11 LESS ANIME ENDING THAT MAKE ME CRY. I SWEAR FOR ALMOST EVERY ANIME THAT I HAVE WATCHED, I HAVE CRIED AT THE END. IT SUCKS!!! I like happy endings like everyone else. I hate it when my favorite character dies or something like that in the end. IT REALLY REALLY SUCKS!! TT_TT. Well, those are my hopes for 2013. I wonder what your are. Anyway, I'm done for now.
